First User Test: A Mystery in Photos
I placed a thick sheet of paper depciting the picnic-table murder mystery sequence on one of the picnic tables to see how people would respond. I set up a no-content web site address on Geocities to see if anyone was curious enough to visit, and tracked visitors through Site Stastistics.
Results: for about one hour of testing
- Two men, individually, spent a considerable amount of time looking at the paper, and one of them wrote in Chinese and Spanish all around the white space.
- One visitor (other than myself) viewed the index page of the Geocities web site that I set up.
