COLLAB STUDIO: OPEN SOCIETY INSTITUTE/ EYEBEAM

This collaboration studio focuses on interface design and usability for open software projects sponsored by the Open Society Institute, Eyebeam, and the EPA. Students are involved in three different projects this semester. 1) Working with Eyebeam and the English art/tech collective Mongrel (mongrel.org.uk) to design a suite of open source software, DIY hardware, and tutorials to make moving images. 2) Designing and prototyping web-based educational games for the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). 3) User experience design/ information architecture for a Campware application -- an open-source, web-based customer relations management tool for media organizations.
